I found this recently and it still seems okay to me in July, 2009.
I have to explore your other posts now.

Glad you had a great time! Please come back and visit us down south.
You are always welcome to North Carolina.

I love the UK so much too. In 2004 we went to Kent, Warwick and drove through the Cheddar Gorge. We found ourselves passing by Highgrove and it took a minute for me to figure this out. This wonder of wonders, a flock of bluecoated fox-hunters and hounds came charging though. FANTASTIC!!!

Unfortunately, we saw the posters that the fox-hunting was to be banned within months.

I’m not a hunter and I don’t like to think about killing, but I did notice in Kent, that there was quite a bit of fox road-kill while driving about. We have the same here only possums and deer. The deer are becoming especially overpopulated to the extent that our town has initiated bow-hunting in town!!!

Fox-hunting is just such an icon of England, it was sad to think about it going away even if necessary.

Well, come back to visit! See my blog and feel free to respond.
    Donna

Adams in Patriotic Mode

“What do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations…This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution.” John Adams
